~ Resonant Frequencies is an immersive installation offering a mesmeric encounter with sound. The work explored ways of knowing and being known beyond the increasingly objectifying and exploitative limits of visual representation.
Through newly commissioned pieces, Ifekoya investigated the pursuit of balance and harmony through sound as it vibrated through air, water, and, most importantly, the human body. By dissolving the boundaries between collective and individual experience, the installation encouraged visitors to attune to their own resonant frequency—the natural vibration shaped by the physical dimensions of any entity. In doing so, ~ Resonant Frequencies invited deep listening as a mode of connection, presence, and transformation.
